Undergraduate student employment communication
March 14, 2020
Dear Undergraduate Students,
An essential part of Johns Hopkins University’s workforce is made up of the hundreds of students who participate in Student Employment and the Federal Work Study program. Recognizing the importance of student employment and federal work study to a student’s financial picture, the University will continue to compensate its spring undergraduate student workers for their average weekly hours during our announced period of on-line instruction from March 23rd through at least April 12th.
No student should remain in the residence halls for the sole purpose of student employment. Students should not report to work on campus. Remote work is permitted, but students will be paid whether they work or not during this period. Please reach out to your supervisor for guidance.
We highly encourage all student employees to sign up for direct deposit if they have not done so. Below are instructions on how students can select this option.
