Johns Hopkins students, faculty, and staff who feel ill or are concerned about COVID-19 exposure should call the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 Call Center at 443-287-8500, seven days a week, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. You can also self-schedule a COVID test through your Hopkins MyChart.

For the fall 2022 semester, we have returned to the most normal operations we have seen since the beginning of the pandemic and have further loosened our public health restrictions. More information

- Johns Hopkins has closed its asymptomatic testing sites and transitioned to symptomatic testing for students. Employees should contact their medical provider for symptomatic testing. Home test kits and masks are readily available. More information
- If you test positive through JHU testing, you will be contacted with next steps. Students who test positive at home should complete this online form; employees who test positive at home should call the JHCCC at 443-287-8500 or complete this online form.
- Masking is optional in all campus, classroom, and work-related spaces; individuals may choose to continue masking, and we will continue to provide free, high-quality masks. Faculty can request that students wear masks while in their classroom. More information
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster shots are required for all affiliates working or studying in the U.S., with the exception of those affiliated with the School of Medicine. More information

What do I need to know before coming to a JHU campus or work location?
- Masking is optional in classrooms, lab- and studio-based classes, university administrative spaces, research labs, public spaces, athletic facilities, and non-classroom communal spaces such as residence halls and libraries.
- All eligible individuals affiliates must be vaccinated and boosted. Proof of vaccination/booster must be uploaded to the Johns Hopkins Vaccine Management System. Full vaccination including a booster is highly protective against severe illness and hospitalization.
- All JHU students, staff, and faculty may also utilize JHU testing sites for voluntary asymptomatic COVID testing.
What should I do if I test positive at home?
Students who test positive at home should complete this form and wait for a nurse from the Student Health and Wellness Center to contact you. Employees who test positive at home should either call the JHCCC at 443-287-8500 or complete this form.
